About me

Mijn foto
Amsterdam, Netherlands
I travel the globe for a living. Luckily I get to see many beautiful things when traveling. Design is one of my passions. On my blog I try to collect a lot of my design-encounters around the world. I hope you'll like it! XOXO Nina

Want. All. Of. It.

My favourite. The small one. Now that I'm writing this.... Should have bought it. Dang!

Can't remember in which store it was, but the collection was mind blowing. Waaaaaaaaay out of my budget, but what a joy to see all those great things.

 I say: Mad Men!
The last two photos were taken at Appartment, between Lexington St. and Valencia St. This is a vintage lovers idea of heaven. And the staff... The friendliest and super-funny. Had a good laugh with the owner, but that's a different story. The photo above is of some factory, in the 50's, in Virginia. Ok. Why not? Looks pretty cool, though!

Street signs & fonts

Old street sign for sale, originally from Texas. It didn't fit in my handluggage...

First of all. Pardon the different quality of photos. I need to bring my 'good' camera to the repair-man tomorrow. Don't know what's wrong with it, just know that it's not focusing as it should. So for my trip, once again, to San Francisco I took some pics with my old compact camera.
The USA is so full of the coolest Mid-Century treasures. Specially when it comes to signs and fonts (lettertypes). So many gems everywhere you look.
The dodgiest places have the best signs, basically.
Still dreaming of going to Palm Springs, someday... I bet the best 'Mid-Century-Everything' can be found there! For now, not complaining at all! San Francisco was great, as always. Spent my free day, once again, in the Mission. Basically on Valencia street. More pics will follow.
